- Have the students sign (and for minor students, their parents or guardians must also sign) the Career ID Portal Consent to Participate form and return them to class.
- With the students in possession his/her signed form, ask each student to go to the Career ID Portal web site at:
- Ask students to complete 9 required fields of required information. These are marked onscreen with a Red Asterisk (*). These are:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Birth date
- Mailing Address
- City
- Country
- Primary Phone number
- Email
- Agree to Share Certification Status – Set to Agree and Click Submit
- When complete the Career ID Portal will assign a Career ID number on screen. Please have the students write this number on the Consent to Participate Form in the space provided.
- Collect all Consent to Participate forms and Fax or send copies to CompTIA Career ID Portal Service at:

- Once the ID’s have been created, please collect and put all IDs in the attached spreadsheet along with the students full name, home address, telephone number, email address, and school name. The spreadsheet should be returned to me ASAP @ rchaney1@houstonisd.org
Please Note that the Career ID Portal does NOT
- supply an exam voucher to the student
- schedule a specific time or date for the student’s certification exam
Each student will still need to receive two exam vouchers to take the A+ exam, and one exam voucher if they are taking Network+ (please contact Jettie Greene if you need additional vouchers).
